It’s that time of year when the word “resolution” gets mentioned quite a bit. I’m not a big fan of committing to something daunting like losing twenty pounds or cleaning all of my closets. But small steps I can handle. What about one act of kindness every day? If the everyday part seems intimidating start small – simply give someone a smile or let them go ahead of you in line. Easy, right?

January is also National Soup Month. Then next time you make a pot of soup consider doubling the recipe and bringing some to an elderly neighbor.
